During the meeting, Mrs. Edwin G. Adair, jr., chairman of the fund committee, reported on the activities and was joined by past presidents of th'fe hospital in burning a note which was paid infull this year. This note, for $11,000 represents the final payment on the original buildings and equipment. John Lee Durant, trust com mittee chairman, reported that the hospital’s endowment and memorial fund now stands at $22,605. He pointed out that this amount does not reflect the $9,435 appreciation in some of the stock in the endowment fund. Officers of the Board of Directors were elected as follows: E. Jackson Eggborn, president; L. B. Henretty, vice president; Mrs. R. Maxwell Willis, secretary and George P. Beard, jr., treasurer. Re-elected to the Board of Directors for three-year terms were Mrs. E. G. Adair, jr., Marvin L. Bates, Mrs. J. L. Fray, Karl Hellinger, Robert L. Inskeep, Paul W. Miller, jr. and John S. Thornton. T. I. Martin was appointed to fill the unexpired term of the late William D. Cannon. Other members of the Board whose terms have not expired include Angus M. Green of Orange and Culpeper, David F. Berry of Madison and Mrs. C. E. Johnson, jr. of Rappahannock.
