from page 1) quests were made by the County Judge, Commissioner of Accounts. Commonwealth’s At' torney and Sheriff for use of the two vacated offices. A committee was appointed to study office space needs and make a recommendation to the Board. A jail inspection report has been received but was too detailed for reading at the meeting, however a later report will be made on it. The Welfare office made a report on several cases for approval of the payment of hospital bills. This department also made a request for additional operating funds. They did not receive the full request when the budget was set up, and the Medical Assistance for the Aged has consumed much larger portions than expected. Mr. Norton, Superintendent of Schools, appeared before the Board with a reguest that the officials consider an expanded school construction program keeping in mind present conditions and also looking to the future.
