Included in the fifteen Angus sales managed by the Virginia Angus Association this spring will be two “first-time* events The Virginia Breeders’ Spring “Spotlight* Show and Sale will be held on Monday, March 1965 at Culpeper followed by the Old Dominion Classic, Middlebrook, Virginia on Tues day, March 23, 1965. These sales will afford Angus breeders and prospective Angus breeders the opportunity to inspect and have the opportunity to buy 100 head of the best Angus cattle in Virginia.
The Spring Spotlight Show and Sale will feature the top production of 24 farms including 44 open and bred females and five herd sire prospects. The Judge will be Wayne Goodnite of GarrettWynn Angus Ranch, Longmont Colo.
T|ie Old Dominion Classic will feature 50 head of the tops in a joint production sale of Marion Harper & Sons Ltdy Staunton; Hickory Ridge Farm, Earlysville; LeBaron Farm, Warrenton; and Zeuswyn Farm, Culpeper. Sale manager for these two premier events will be the Virginia Angus Association, Dave Leonard, SecretaryFieldman and Paul Coleman, Fieldman, P. O. Box 196, Charlottesville.
