Mrs. James F. Smith of Sperryville, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Cancer Crusade, announces the following chairmen who will head up the fund campaign in each district in the county: Wakefield, Mrs. W. C. Ratliff of Huntly; Piedmont. Mrs. Carson Johnson, Sperryville; Hampton, Mrs. W. A. Miller, Washington; Jackson, Mrs. A. C. Latham, Ami6sville; Stonewall, Mrs. Fred Payne, Boston; Hawthorne„Mrs. Earl Kilby, Sperryville. Mrs. Edward A. Harris, Huntly, is vicechairman of the crusade. The campaign fund goal for Rappahannock County is $1,000 for 1965. A special meeting of Charlottesville District of the American Cancer Society will be held in Charlottesville February 23 at the Tvlonticello Hotel beginning at 10 a.m. and closing promptly at 3 p. m. All workers who can are urged to attend this meeting. If you need transportation, get in touch with the chairman in your district. Lunch will be available at no cost to the individual, but reservations must be made in advance by contacting Mrs. C. K. Estes or Mrs. James Smith by February 18. Last Thursday, Mr. C. O. Meadows, field representative of the Richmond office of the Society, met with interested workers at the home of Mrs. C. K. Estes in Sperryville to answer questions and provide inf or mation concerning the 1965 campaign.
