Durging the next two months 4ducators in the public schools of Warren and Rappahannock Counties will be studying the textbooks approved for adoption by the State Board of Education on Dec. 4, 1964. The subjects for which textbooks were approved are elementary school reading (grade 1-7, spelling (grade 2-7), and writing (grade 1-7), and high school general science 8 and 9, biology and chemistry. Committees selected for each subject will study the different series of books. At the same time, additional sets of textbooks will be circulating among the schools for all educators to study. At the end of the study period, the committee’s recommendations will be presented to the School Boards for formal adoption for the six-year period beginning July 1, 1965. The reading committee is composed of Mrs. Maxine Bushong, Chairman, A. S.
