Fishing Contest
The Rappahannock Jaycees are sponsoring a fishing contest for the youngsters of the county on Sunday, September 26, at the Davis Lake just east of the Town of Washington. The contest will begin at 2 p.m. and continue until 4 p.m. Boys from age 8 through 12 are eligible to enter, Each boy must be accompanied by a parent and each must bring his own fishing tackle and bait. Three prizes will be offered: $5.00 for the largest fish caught; $3.00 for the one catching the most fish; $2.00 for the smallest fish caught.
