Quarterly Conference
The Quarterly Conference of Little Fork Methodist Charge was held Sunday evening at Oak Shade Methodist Church. The District Superintendent, Dr. Hugh Burley, was the speaker. To Meet in Culpeper Howard Halsell, consultant from the Baptist Sunday School Board, Nashville, Tennessee, will lead pastors of the Shi - | loh Baptist Association in a Pastor s Leadership Conference at Culpeper Baptist Church. The meeting will be held Monday through Thursday September 27-30, from 10 a.m. through noon each day. The group will study materials concerned with a pastorled enlargement program for their respective churches. A native of Arkansas, Mr. Halsell received his B. A. Degree from Ouachita Baptist College, Arkadelphia, A rk ansas and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in the United States Navy in World War II and holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserve. Before joining the Baptist Sunday School Board's staff in October 1962, he was secretary of the Sunday School department of the Kansas Convention of Southern Baptists. Earlier, he served seven years as educational director at First Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona, and for four years was director of religious education for the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention.
