Saunders in Chapmanville, W. Va. and on Sept. 16 helped him celebrate his 77th birthday. The Settle's were accompanied home by Dale Hensley of Charleston, W. Va. who will make his home with them and will be a tenth grade student at Rappahannock High School. Miss Linda Jenkins of Slate Mills were p 1 e a s a n 11 y surprised Saturday night when her mother, Mrs. Dick Jenkins and her sister, Mrs. Charlotte Caines gave her a party to celebrate her eighteenth birth day. Those attending were the Misses Nancy andNina Jenkins and the Misses Mildred and Christine Jenkins of Etlan; Mr. and Mrs. Cid Jenkins and daughter, Joyce, Mrs. Fred Jenkins, Mrs. Raymond Fineham and daughters Arlene and Peggy of Slate Mills; Miss Mary Ann Weaver of Boston, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jenkins and Bill and Lisa of Front Royal; Roy Garrison and Lawrence Turner of Charlottesville.
Mrs. Hazel Barfield spent a few days in Berryville visiting her son’s family while her son Robert L.ee Barfield was a surgical patient at Winchester Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines stayed with Miss Alice Hitt while Mrs. Barfield was away.
