Apple harvest is underway in Rappahannock County and despite the long dry summer a bumper crop almost equal to that of ’63 will be harvested. Some pickers have been brought into the area from the south, but employees who do the grading, packing, etc. are local. After sorting and grading is done, fancy fruit is tray'packed as above.
