Monday the hall was filled with proud Seniors eagerly showing off their class rings. Yes, Monday was the big day!! The representative from the Balfour Ring Company was at R.C.H.S. Monday morning to help give out the rings to about 50 Seniors. This year’s ring is unique in that it has been permanently standarized. The new ring is solid gold with an Old English “R" embossed on the top, surrounded by the lettering “Rappahannock County High School." On one side is the Virginia State Seal with the state flower, the dogwood. On the other side is the school seal which has a torch for leadership, the winged feet symbolizing athletics, a scroll for academic achievement and an atomic symbol representing the space age. Last week R.C.H.S. was visited by the telephone company. At long last a much needed pay phone is being installed in the hall outside the office.
