At the Rappahannock Manufacturing1 Company plant in Flint Hill, Manager Wayne Walker and supervisor Mrs. Dorothy Burnett stop for a minute to talk with Mrs. Margaret Jenkins who is setting zippers in garments made at the plant. The manufacturing company makes ladies and childrens outerwear which is sold under the Aileen label. Mr. Walker says employees now number 150 and the plant is working full speed to be able to fill orders. Rappahannock Manufacturing Company opened in Rappahannock in October 1962. Other plants in this area are located in Culpeper, New Market, Edinburgh, Woodstock, Monterey and two in Strasburg. Mr. Walker attributes the success of the local plant to the leaders of this county in assisting in the establishment of the facility and to the efficient employees with their wonderful attitude and increasing skill. Plans are being made for the training of additional employees here, for according to Mr. Walker he needs abettMMrty mere.
