Thursday, March 10 in the courthouse at 10 a.m. The purchase of a typewriter table and a larger table for the Clerk’s office was approved.

Current accounts were approved for payment. O. A. Norton, Superintendent of Schools was present to report that a request for a loan of $783,140 from the Literary Fund of the State for elementary school construction approved subject to availability. At present there is not that much money in the Literary Fund and no assurance could be given that it would be there by the time it was needed here. Another source from which it could be secured is the retirement fund which has the necessary amount available now. Interest on money borrowed from the retirement fund is 3 1/4% while from the Literary Fund it is only 3%. Over a long period of years for repayment of the
