To clean light bulbs, and lamps, first turn off the lamps and unplug cords. Let bulbs and glassware cool. If there is no switch for a fixture, unscrew the1 fuse or turn off the circuit breaker that controls it. Never wash a lamp or fixture that is still connected, say rural electric spec ialists of the U. S. Department of Agriculture. Cleaners made for windows and mirrors work well on bulbs and fixtures. Remove bulbs, fluorescent tubes and diffuser units and clean separately. It’s wise to have a helper take breakable parts as they are removed.
