Dates for the Amissville Firemen's Carnival have been set for August 10th through the 13th. According to a spokes man of the fire company, contracts for rides have been made and plans include the usual four night festival with a parade and other added attractions.
Mrs. St Clair Sings With Choral Society
Mrs. Joan St. Clair of Amissville will be singing with the Washington Cathedral Choral Society in its once-in-a-lifetime presentation of Mahler’s. Symphony for a Thousand, the biggest musical production in the history of this area. Four choirs numbering approximately 400 voices, eight soloists, three pipe organs andthe National Symphony will join together for this magnificent event which no music lover will want to miss. Mrs. St. Clair has been singing with this group for the past five years. Anyone desiring tickets for either of the two performances, Sunday, March 20, 8:30 p.m. or Monday, March 21, 8:30 p.m. may call her at 937-2596.
