Washington, D. C. arrived Monday afternoon to visit her mother Mrs. Lucy Thornhill and brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill. Miss Ann Thornhill spent the week-end with the Tom Thornhills.
Dinner guests last Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Weaver were Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hawkins, Mrs. George Butler, Mrs. Cary Thornhill and grand daughter Melanie and Mrs. Edmund Burke. Mrs. Iris Brooke of Slate Mills spent last Thursday with Mrs. J. B. Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Karnes and children of Culpeper were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Karnes parents Mr. and Mrs. George A. Johnston. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Waddell were week-end guests of Mrs. Waddell's uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Machael of Staunton. On Saturday, March 5, they attended the 4 o’clock wedding of Mrs. Waddell’s cousin Miss Iris Dean Clemmer to Richard Craig, both of Churchville.
