Mrs. Kathleen Scudere

Mrs. Myrla Kathleen Scudere, 50, of Washington, Va., widow of Peter W. Scudere, died Wednesday, March 2 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital where she was taken following a sudden illness at home. She was a native of Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late David Cleveland Updike and the late Mary Partlow Updike'. Surviving is one brother H. Taylor Updike of Washington; a nephew, H. Taylor Updike, Jr. of San Diego, Cal., two nieces Mrs. Frank Parker of Culpeper and Miss Gail Updike of Washington.

A graveside funeral servicfe was held Saturday at 10;00 a.m. at Washington Masonic Cemetery conducted by the Rev. John McMahon of St. John’s Catholic Church at Front Royal. ‘ Pallbearers were Francis Hicks, William Slayden, Randall Updike, Luther Partlow, Al Ballard and James W. Fletcher.
