The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors put its OK, though not unanimously, on the possible establishment of a state ABC store in the Town of Washington and rescinded prior legislation governing dance hall closing hours when it met Friday for the regular September meeting.

Carlyle Lea, Jr. submitted a request for approval of the establishment of a liquor store under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board in his building at the corner of Gay and Jett Streets The building formerly housed Lea Brothers Store. L. H. Luttrell madea motionagainst establishing an ABC store, but his motion died for the lack of a second to it. J. Newbill Miller, Board Chairman, relinquished the chair to H. B.
