Veteran Honored ^
Charlie Smith, while home on leave from Viet Nam, and his morher Mrs. G.W. Smith, Jr. of Flint Hill, were honored with a reception on the evening of August 29 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Clark, in Flint Hill. Mrs. Carson Liliard, co-hostess, assisted with the arrangements. Forty two neighbors and friend6 from the village participated In making it a rewarding event. Charlie, by matter of choice, has extended his tour of duty at Viet Nam and will be returning there this week.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Brown Settle were Joe Williams and Leroy Willimann of Hyattsville, Md.
