Ever see this before0 “No sir, that in the garden came up for the first time this summer." Every buy hay0 'Yes, last year." Manure your garden this spring0 “Yes, I did." Where did you get your hay° “ A neighbor". Then I’d better check that neighbor’s farm. Mr. Dodson told me the field his hay had been made in. We searched the field -- found several clumps of Johnsongrass. And so a very serious pest was spread from farm to farm through a hay deal, one of the primary ways of spread ing weed seeds.
Thanks Mr. Dodson for call ing me. We hope you can nip your Johnsongrass problem in the bud. Also, you helped your neighbor. He too can tackle the problem before it takes over his field or even his farm1
