Harvest Carnival
Opens in Sperryville
A Harvest Festival Carnival is scheduled to open tonight, Thursday, at Sperryville Carnival ground and wil continue Friday and Saturday nights. This event is spor sored jointly by the Rappahannock Jaycees and the Sperryville Fire Company. The carnival will featur* rides, games, prizes, foo< and amusements. Prizes tc be given away include a 60( pound Black Angus donatec by Eldon Farm, Woodville anc a black walnut rocking chair These will be awarded Saturday night. According to fire company president Robert Estes, proceeds which the fire department derives from the venture will be used to purchase and install lights in the new fire house.
60th Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Pullen of Washington, Va. celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Monday with a family dinner at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Wade Pullen and family of Flint Hill were present. Mrs. Wade Pullen prepared the dinner. The Edgar Pullens have resided 58 years of their married life on the W. H. Massie farm.
