was hospitalized overnight in Culpeper Memorial Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries, multiple bruises and lacerations. He was taken to the hospital by Culpeper Rescue Squad.
Jenkins was operating a 1962 Chevrolet owned by Willie S. Nichols when he collided with a 1955 Ford station wagon owned and operated by Roger S. White of Boston. According to Trooper J. B. Willis, White was crossing a bridge as Jenkins rounded a curve and struck him head-on. Charges are pending.
Irvin Gatewood of Washington driving a 63 Chevrolet was pushed into a ditch by a vehicle he was towing Saturday near Ben Venue. The crash occurred about 6:30 almost two miles east of Ben Venue on Route 211, according to Trooper K. L. Miller. Gatewood was towing a Ford which was operated by Richard Turner also of Washington when a bolt dropped out of the tow-bar, pushing the front vehicle in the ditch. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $100 and to the Chevrolet at $200. Gatewood was charged with illegal towing.
