Army Private First Class Walter E. Krause Jr., 20, son of Mrs. Mary M. Krause, Flint Hill, Va. was assigned March 7 to the 588th Signal Company near Quang Tri, Vietnam, as a powerman.
His wife, Sue, lives at 811 Warren Ave., Front Royal, Va. His father, Walter E. Krause Sr., lives at 908 Anne St., Takoma Park, Md.
Amiftsville Auxiliary
Fourteen members of Amissville Ladies Auxiliary were present on Tuesday, April 8 for the regular meeting of that group held at the fire hall. Standing committees were appointed as follows: Mrs. Charlie Compton was re-named chairman of the kitchen committee and on the finance committee are Mrs. Edward Hackley, Mrs. E. R. Hitt and Mrs. Everett Smith. The membership committee is composed of Mrs. Braxton James and Mrs. Sharon Atkins.
Plans were made to serve the Ruritan Club at its regular dinner meeting on Wednesday, 16 and the Rural Letter Carriers Association dinner meeting which convenes April 26 at Amissville fire haU. Before adjournment Mrs. Arthur Pullen and Mrs. Charlie Priest served refreshments.
