Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leake of Fredericksburg were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Conner Jenkins. Their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins and daughter Peggy of Fairfax were their Sunday evening guests.
Mrs. Russell Settle reports that Pvt. Dale Hensley of Camp LeJeune, N. C. has beenl transferred to Camp Giegar, N. C.l and promoted to Private First' Class. At this camp he is getting1 basic specialty training in 811 M.M. Mortars and 105 Howitzers.| He is expected to arrive herej April 18 for five days of his 20-day furlough. The "rest of the time will be spent in Charleston, W. Va. with his mother, Mrs. Emmaline Hensley and family before leaving for Vietnam. Mrs. Russell Settle’s father, W. L. Saunders who has spent the winter in Slate Mills will return to Charleston, W. Va. with PFC Dale Hensley.
