Mr. and Mrs. Brew Burke and daughter Peggy, Mrs. Lottie Thornhill and daughter Luellen were in Winchester Sunday to visit Mrs. Burke’s father, Emest Dodson at the Kenni worth Nursing Home. Mr. Dodson celebrated his 100th birthday on March 5. The merchants of Winchester gave him a party and cake at that time.
Mrs. Charlie Keen of Washington, D. C. was a Sunday visitor of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McDaniels. Mrs. Keen also visited her father, Moss Coughlin, a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. George A. Johnston had as their Tuesday night dinner guests Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Carter and Mrs. George Moyer and children of Front Royal. Mrs. Carter remained for the week. On Friday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Johnston accompanied Mrs. Carter to Front Royal.
