Came home in the wee hours Tuesday. The spring peepers were sounding off and the air was spring night cool. Thought - gosh, if it would only rain. Hoping to nudge Ma Nature along, I commenced my version of an Indian rain dance and here it is a beautiful, drizzly, dreary Tuesday afternoon. Sure hope it doesn’t tum off for at least a couple of days.
Good news for county apple and peach growers. Your old friend, trouble shooter and consultant, George Williams will be back in the area for the spring rush season. All you have to do to get the V. P. I. Fruit Specialist out in your orchard to help with your fruit production problems is to call our office, 675-3619, and leave word. George will be in the county Tuesday afternoon, April 22nd and starting Wednesday, April 30th every Wednesday afternoon through May.
