Letter To Editor

Editor, The Rappahannock News Dear Editor:

I notice it has been suggested that the Supervisors put a §10 head tax on each person. Am wondering if the two-faced people will be charged $20, as you know there are lots of them in Rappahannock County.

To cut down County expenses, why not have less employees. Let some of them stay home to do their knitting instead of doing it in the Court House.

If I had a paying job like some of our County employees, I’d have money to pay taxes, but as it is I am only existing and I’d be visiting the U.S.D.A. office should I be drawing S.S. at the present time. Guess I made a mistake by not have a sideline.

Yours truly,
