Mrs. Jessie Johnson Hill, wife of James Hill of Washington, D. C. died April 12, 1969 in Washington, D. C.
She was bom in Peola Mills and is the daughter of Mrs. Della Haney Carter of Washington, Va. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by a daughter, Mary Della Gatewood of Washington, Va.; five sisters; Mrs. Josephine Ewell, Manassas, Mrs. Cora Lee Jackson, Fairfax, Miss Catherine Carter, Washington, Va., Mrs. Dorothy Jackson and Mrs. Estelle Butler of Sperryville. Also two brothers, Frank and William Carter of Washington, Va. and five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville, officiated by the Rev. Willie Williams of Culpeper. Interment will be in Woodville.
