The C&P Telephone Company noted a 74% increase in the number of telephones serving the Culpeper area during the sixties, according tp F. Wayne Dementi, local manager. Dementi indicated that this tremendous growth is directly dependent on increasing population, expansion of business and industry, and increasing customer demand for additional service and equipment.
