Mrs. ureen was a county scnooi supervisor in charge of industrial classes in the graded schools. Under Rev. Richards, cathedral windows were installed in the church and electric organ Installed, and robes purchased for the choir.
Under Rev. Davis work has begun on the project of putting running water in the church and modem conveniences. Contract has been let and work started. We hope to put in a new floor and baptizing pool before we stop. After the Mt. Salem Church disbanded, they united with the First Baptist Church of Washington.
This church is a member of the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association, and has entertained that body twice • 1904 and 1949.
This church has licensed two ministers - Rev. John W. Dennis, who lives in Washington, D. C.; and Rev. R. J. Green, A. B. Bth, D. D. now Dean of Morgan College, Little Rock, Arkansas. The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Sunday School Union was founded and organized in the First Baptist Church by a member of this church who has served as
