Firemens banquet held Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burner and daughter Faye had as their guests over night Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McDowell of Lexington. Mrs. Thelma Buchanan returned to her home in Lexington with the McDowells Sunday. She has been the house guest of the Burners for three weeks. Nelson Burner and Johny Hackley spent Wednesday in Rockfish. Mrs. Joseph Button of Jeffersonton and Mrs. W. R. Bowen were visitors Monday of Mrs. Charlie Compton* who is recovering from flu. Mrs. A. C. Latham, Mrs. Russell Hackley, Bobby Carter, Jack Atkins, Levi Atkins, Jr. and Kenneth Bywaters attended the Culpeper Firemen’s Banquet Thursday evening. Those attending the Orange Banquet Monday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Smith, Mrs. Russell Hackley and Roger Stover.
