bacn ol us agreed, at the end of 350 feet of movie-making, that Niagara Falls is the place for vacationers to go on exciting fun-filled trips and enjoy the many special attractions. Customs presented no problem when we crossed into Canada or returned to the United States. They only asked of what country we were citizens, so entering and exiting actually required less time | than stopping in our own country to pay a bridge or expressway toll. Canada is beautiful with many floral gardens and a special Floral Clock. With the splendor of the lights on the Falls and a full moon above, there was no more life could offer than such natural beauty that night. Spectacular as Niagara Falls is in daylight, it becomes much more impressive after dark, when the giant searchlights, located on the Canadian side, ransform the Falls into a rainbow of sound and shimmering color. The girls were still in the “Fall Clouds” and won the game that night. On Friday morning we departed Clarence, New York, and had proceeded several miles down the highway when my daughter asked me for the correct time, (it is an established rule that my watch is precisely correct at all times). “Whoa”, 1 said, “You’ll have to go back to the motel, my watch is on the bed post.”

We had breakfast in Williamsville, New York, and tried to tell our son-in-law, Don Williams, that today was in his honor. Ironically, it turned out to be his day after all, because the men showed the girls how you really play the game of Canasta that night in Pennsylvania.

It was a pleasant 73 degrees and beautiful countryside through which we were traveling. We stopped at Bradford Pennsylvania, for gas, and there in the heart of town, in the backyard of a home, were “grasshopper” jacks pumping oil in the heat of the day. We were tc see this same sight for the next several miles. Sometimes the “grasshoppers” seemed largei than the house.
