The Rev. Presley Harris Chelf, 97, of Roanoke, Va. died July 28, 1970 in a Roanoke hospital. He was native of Rappahannock, reared in Flint Hill. He was a retired Baptist minister and former superintendent of the Baptist Children’s Home in Salem. He was the pastor of Flint Hill, Sperryville and F. T. Baptist Churches in Rappahannock for about 16 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Flora May Hatcher Chelf; three sons, Harry Hatcher Chelf of Harrisonburg, Eugene Winston Chelf, Salem and Harris Jackson Chelf, Fort Pierce, Fla.; a brother, James Irving Chelf of Baltimore, Md. A funeral service was held at the Salem Baptist Church and interment was in East Hill Cemetery, Salem.

That is the bad part, here is the good, - he has bought a mobile home and plans to travel, he has some wood-working tools and plans to make little objects to help pay his way. On top of that, he has nia.de arrangements to have a portable blood washing machine (whatever that is) to cleanse his blood three times a week; eight hous at each time. Faith, hope and love of his physical existence. It saddened me that he didn’t seem to include God in his plans.

The Sea of God’s Love. Absorbed Back Into the Infinite. I don’t think there is any term that gives us a clear picture of the abode of the soul. What are those three things that will last forever?
