Viewtown came roaring back in the bottom of the second and scored two runs on a triple by Gene Dodson and a homer by Gary Deal. A third run was added by Viewtown in the bottom of the*fifth on a triple by Ed Bailey and a double by Smokey Stover.
In the top of the sixth, Amissville made four runs to take a 5-3 lead. Tony Layman tripled; Roger Boswell doubled; Charlie Burke was safe on an attempted fielder’s choice; Doug Barron tripled and Sonny Williams hit a sacrifice fly to plate four runs.
Amissville added two more in the top of the seventh on a single by Levi Atkins, and doubles by Junior Pullen and Tony Layman setting Amissville up with a 7-3 edge.
Viewtown came back to score two runs on a triple by Gene Dodson, a double by Gary Deal and a throwing error. The rally fell two runs short assuring Amissville a fourth win with a 7-5 score.
