Ensign Page Moffett is spendinf a 14-day leave with his parents, Judge and Mrs. W. F. Moffett or Oay Street, before reporting on October 10 to the Charleston, S. C. Naval Base. Ensign Moffett and Mias Carter Moffett of Mary Washington College will spend this weekend in Charlottesville where they will attend Homecoming at the University of Virginia.
Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at The Oaks were Phil Irwin of Flint Hill, Mils Katie Hamilton of New York, C. B. Scruggs of Georgia and Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance of Sperryville.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Burke and son Richy of Culpeper were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Guy Burke. Recent supper guests of Mrs. Burke were Mrs. John Evans of Luray and Mrs. J. M. Liilard.
Mr. and Mrs. James Dawson of Huntly and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bentley of Rose Hill jointly entertained Mr. and Mrs. Don Schmidt of the Bahamas and Chandler Peterson of San Diego, Calif, over the weekend.
Mb. W. H. Massie, Jr. was the overnight guest Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Massie and Sunday and Monday guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Eastham at Red Hill Farm. On Monday Mr. and Mrs. James F. Massie, Mrs. W. G. Eastham and Mrs. W. H. Massie were in Charlottesville. Mrs. B. M. Miller, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Federline and Mrs. Federline’s sister, Mrs. Josephine Smith of Arlington, spent the weekend at Wildwood Crest, near Ocean City, Md. Mrs. Miller spent Sunday night with the Federlines in Arlington.
