Jewett Smith
A graveside funeral service for Jewett M. Smith, 82, of Jamesville, N.Y. will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. in the Smith family cemetery at Viewtown, conducted by the Rev. John Chappell of St. Stephen’s Church.
Mr. Smith, a native of Viewtown, died Saturday, September 26, 1970 in Jamesville, N.Y. He retired 17 years ago as production manager for the Interwoven Stocking Co. of Martinsburg, W.Va.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia S. Schug of Jamesville, N.Y. and Mrs. Mary Angeline Ruble of Martinsburg, W. Va.; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Isa Kite of Culpeper and Mrs. Edna Jenkins of Viewtown. Geest Funeral Home is in charge.
