Summers of Washington, D. C. This late eighteenth century house is situated on Route 621. Tea will be served at The Shade each day of the Tour. White Walnut Hill is the recently completed country home of syndicated columnist James J. Kilpatrick and his sculptor wife, Marie Pietri, who assisted the architect, Floyd Johnson, A.I.A. of Charlottesville to build a house suitable for displaying her talents, but scaled down to her size. This attractive and comfortable home is situated on Route 621 about 3 miles from Woodville.
Roy House, consisting of two late 18th century log cabins, joined together has recently been restored and renovated by a descendant of the original owner Middleton Miller, J. Newbill Miller, and is the home of Mrs Miller’s aunt, Mrs. Harry Hurtt.
