Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision last Thursday on Route 522 north of HuntJy. Involved in the wreck were Clarence Baldwin and his daughter Susan of Washington, Va. traveling north in a 66 Ford station wagon and Miss Helen Fuller, also of Washington, in a 66 Ford Thunderbird.
Miss Fuller was hospitalized in Warren Memorial at Front Royal with a laceration of the forehead, fractured collarbone and ribs. Susan Baldwin sustained a compound fracture of the right ankle, a sprained left ankle and a mild concussion, and was taken to Winchester Memorial Hospital. Mr. Baldwin received a cut knee and fractured left wrist, according to a report filed by Trooper F. W. Weatherholtz. Miss Fuller lost control of her vehicle when she ran off the right of the highway, came back on and skidded sideways striking a cement abutment with the rear of her car. It then crashed head-on into the Baldwin station wagon. Trooper Weatherholtz said charges were pending.
A single car crash occurred on Route 211 in Amissville Sunday afternoon. According to Trooper W. A. Bun tin, Robin Dewing Vogel of Centreville, Md., operating a 1965 Ford traveling west, dropped off the shoulder of the highway and lost control of her car.
