One eighteenth Century dwelling and two remodeled 1 farmhouses will be opened to visitors during the fourteenth annual House Tour and Dried | Flower Arrangement Sale
| sponsored by the Women of the ' Church of Bromfield Parish.
This year’s tour is scheduled for October 16 and 17. The three homes, located in Rappahannock County, are The Meadows, built in 1750 and owned by Mr. Willis Snell; the Duchesse Farm, owned by Mr. and Mrs. David Fannon; and Blue Rock Farm, a horse farm owned by Mr. and Mrs. Ian i Pryde and Mrs. Pryde’s sister, Mrs. Mary Van Brederode. Tea will be served at Blue Rock Farm.
Allocation Made
For Disadvantaged
The Federal Programs Office of the State Department of Education today announced approval of allocations totaling $219,190 for school projects to aid educationally disadvantaged children in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties. Funds for the projects are provided under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. The projects and allocations approved are: Fauquier County - $171,618 to provide instruction in reading for 720 pupils in grades one through four. Medical, psychological, and social work services will be included.
Rappahannock County - $47,572 to provide instruction in reading, language arts, cultural enrichment activities, and special education for 239 pupils in special education classes and in grades one through three.
