Block tickets, including both homes and churches, will be $1.50 each with children and students admitted free. They will be available at the festival information booth at the Luray municipal building parking lot and at each of the tour sites. Other events during the festival will be craft displays and sales, a historical music program, an art show, an apple butter boiling and an old-fashioned public auction. Craft displays and sales are set at both Luray and Shenandoah. The Luray show at the American Legion Building will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Shenandoah area Home Demonstration Clubs will present their show, sale and demonstrations of various crafts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Shenandoah Elementary School gymnasium. “Songs of the River and the Valley,” an original historical program with music, narration and color slides will be presented at Page County High School auditorium Saturday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 19, at 4 p.m. Admission will be 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children.
The festival art show, featuring paintings, sculpture, drawings, collages and other media, will be held at the Luray Singing Tower Grounds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m each festival day.
The show will be moved to the Potomac Edison Building ir Luray in case of rain.
