The 4-H horse show hel< Saturday in Washington was claimed a great success by par ticipants and spectators an< extensive competition spurred th< efforts of each individual Championships and reserves were: Novice Pony, Faitl Dickerson and Pete Ay lor; Novic< Junior Hunter, Justine Owen ant Cil Davis; Small Pony, Marj Johnson and Eva Dahlgren Large Pony, Mary Lib Snead ant Justine Owen; Junior Huntei Horse, Patrick Powers ant Justine Owen.
Rappahannock youngsters wht participated in various classes and who have not been mentionet included: Wendy Brown who tool a fourth in Novice pony hunter: Janice Aylor who was second ir Novice pony under saddle; Jear Payne with a fourth in Novict junior hunter under saddle.
wendy Brown also had a first ir the Novice pony, outside courst while Janice Aylor placed third ir the costume class. In the Small pony hunter,, Maureen Day placed fourth and Lisa Day took a fourth in Junior hunter horse and a third in Junior hunter under saddle followed by a second ir Junior hunter, outside course, anc a third in advanced equitation. Sponsors of the show whc provided prizes included Browning Real Estate, Johnson’s Lewis Pharmacy and Dr. J. L. Trinity Church Picnic
A picnic for members of Trinity Episcopal Church Sunday School is scheduled for Sunday, September 19 and will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Baumgardner near Washington.
