Amissville Fire Company responded to a car fire on Route 618 at Laurel Mills February 9. The next night a brush fire on Route 211 west of Amissville was extinguished by that unit which also answered an alarm to a brush fire Saturday on Mrs. Ethel Cooksey’s property.
Amissville Rescue Squad took Jim Burke to Warren Memorial Hospital February 11 and the following day T.B. Kerns was taken from Jeffersonton to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. □
