OBITUARIES

Lucy M. Deal

A funeral service for Lucy Mildred Deal, wife of John William Deal of Castleton, was held February 13 at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John McKay officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Deal, 62, was the daughter of the late Robert and Lucy M. Butler. Her death occurred at a Staunton hospital where she had been a patient for a long while. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, John William Deal Jr. of Atlanta, and a sister, Mrs. Herman L. Clatterbuck of Indianapolis, lnd. □

James Burke

A funeral service for James Burke, 62, of Amissville was held February 14 at 11 a.m. in the Geest Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gordon George officiating.

He was the son of the late Athea and Josephine , Brown Burke. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Margaret Jeffries of Falmouth, and two brothers, William Isaac Burke of Baltimore and Athea Lewis Burke of lndianhead, Md.

Burial was in the Burke lot of Sperryville Cemetery. □
