There has been no change in the statutes covering Financial Responsibility or the Uninsured Motor Vehicle Act. Owners of selfpropelled vehicles must maintain a minimum of $20/30,000 bodily injury and $5000 property damage liability insurance at all times or pay the Uninsured Motor Vehicle Fee of $50.
Last year’s number sequence using three letters and three numerical digits has been expanded this year to include a greater variety of three letter comginations. The entire alphabet will not be used this year, and it will not be possible to handle requests for specific letter combinations.
Consignments of tags have already been distributed to DMV, public service locations including branch offices and license agents throughout the Commonwealth. No city or county tags will be sold by mail by DMV offices. □
