is purchased
The U.S. Consumer and Marketing Service has purchased 61,050 cases of ap' plesauce from two Virginia firms for use in child nutrition programs.
Officials of this U. S. Department of Agriculture agency said 31,450 cases were bought from Shenandoah Apple Co-op, Inc., of Winchester, and 29,600 cases were purchased from Bowman Apple Products Co., Inc., of Mt. Jackson.
This was part of a total purchase of over 464,350 cases of U.S. Grade A canned applesauce bought at a cost of over $2.01 million
