Horse clinic planned
A CLINIC ON THE HEALTH problems of horses in this area will be conducted by Dr. William J. Streett DVM., at the Shenandoah Horseman’s Club meeting on Thursday, February 17. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium (Room 40) of Lord Fairfax Community College near Middletown. „ , t . . . ...
Dr. Streett, a New Market^ veterinarian, will describe diseases and remedies common to horses in the Shenandoah Valley and will answer questions from the club members and guests present. The public is invited. ■ The Shenandoah Horseman’s Club, formed last Fall is intended to “serve the interests of adult and youth of the northern Shenandoah Valley region who are interested in promoting better personal horsemanship and horse shows in this area.” Club members are from Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Page, Shenandoah and Rockingham counties. The organizations’ executive committee includes a balanced representation from these counties as well as adults and youth and both English and Western types of horsemanship.” Persons interested in learning more about club activities and membership should call Mrs. Bonnie Dixon, 436-3796,Strasburg.
