The Davis family, Normie, Mayor Davis, George m, George H. Davis Jr. and Dottie, following tiie 1950 election at which time Mrs. Davis became the Mayor. Mr. Davis, an attorney for the Justice Department at that time, said he washed dishes and baby sat while his wife campaigned for office on a write-in vote. Mr. Davis is the present Commonwealth’s Attorney for Rappahannock County. Mrs. Davis took four years off from the office and in that time added another member to the family, Drucilla, now a senior in high school.
