THE MARRIAGE of Miss Alice Virginia Pullen to Lewis Charles Butler Jr. was solemnized Sunday, June 25, 1972 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the Flint Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry 0. Campbell performing the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Jefferson Pullen of Flint Hill and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Charles Butler of Front Royal. Mrs. Edgar Pullen of Washington, Va. is the maternal grandmother of the bride and Mrs. Eunice Butler of Front Royal is the bridegroom’s maternal grandmother.
The church was decorated with arrangements of mixed white flowers and seven-branch candelabra holding lighted tapers.
Mrs. Wesley Harris of Washington, Va. presented a program of nuptial music on the organ which included “The Faithful Shepherd,” “AveMaria,” “Trumpet Tune,” “Perfect Love” and the wedding marches.
