If you have greens in your garden or buy them to put in your freezer, you might like a helpful hint on taking the work out of washing the greens.
Using nylon net stitch it up about the size and shape - of a lingerie bag. Using an old shoe string threaded around the top, tie it up. Fill it loosely with your greens and toss two of these bags into your automatic washer. (Two will keep the load balanced.) Just be sure you set the dial for cold water washing and use the delicate cycle, if you have one. “Hey look, no ring around the collards!!” □
