THREE juveniles were taken into custody Friday following a series of breaking and enterings and larceny of a tractor in the Rock Mills and Red Oak acreas of Rappahannock.
The trio gave themselves up after several days of hiding in the mountain from authorities. One youth has been released in the custody of his parents while the other two remain in Rappahannock jail.
The related events began Tuesday when a small farm tractor was missing from the property of Raymond Johnson. It was found later a good distance away with considerable damage done to it, said Deputy Everett Estes, who added that he had spent most of three days and nights combing Red Oak in search of the trio.
Next, a report was received that the home of Paul Henze had been entered and grand larceny committed. This was followed by a call to the cabin on the river owned by Paul Vogel which had been entered but not burglarized.
