Herbert S. Barksdale of Flint Hill was named chairman of the Board of Directors of Southern States Front Royal Cooperative at the annual membership held Ausust 27 in Front Royal. More than 185 stockholder-members and their families attended the session.
Alton Mathews of Bentonville was named vicechairman with local directors, Earl Browning of Hume, William Trenary of Front Royal, also elected. Jack Grayson of Winchester reported on the over-all operations of the Cooperative.
